at
Barrington Living History Farm
On October 27 and 28, Barrington Living History Farm invited HABA members to the farm for a weekend of forging. Several years ago the farm asked HABA to consider building a steel harrow the team of oxen can pull to till the garden. In the past, HABA members showed up to make or repair whatever was needed. It is always an enjoyable weekend for the members and the public who stop by to see what is being built.On Saturday Tee Hines, Dave Koenig, Richard Boswell, Russell Parrish, Ed Malmgren, and Christian Darce were the demo team. On Sunday Richard and Tee welcomed Steve Arial to the barn to meet and show the many visitors what this art/craft is about today and yesterday. The Full Harvest Moon and magnificent weather added to the ambiance in a magnificent manner.
HABA extends a warm and special thanks to the Farm staff and Mark Sanders for their hospitality and appreciation of the tools we can make for them.
