This is a “Hammer-In” so bring your forges. Bob Hensley says "I call them priceless because most smiths make their own, and I am not sure any of these tools are available commercially." We will make 3 handy anvil tools – a spring fuller, a hold-down, and a third man (or third hand). They will all have to be customized to fit your anvil, but I will show you how to do that as well. The 3 tools will require 6 feet of ˝” round stock (or whatever size your pritchel hole is), you may need to provide this but HABA has a limited amount of stock for use. This meeting will be held at our new storage container location, directions to follow. If you have a tent, it will be helpful if we have a sunny day, we don’t have a shelter at this location yet. Bring your gear, this is a hammer-in.
The location is at the site where our new storage container is kept at: 27914 FM 2978, Magnolia, TX 77354 (east of Tomball and 4 1/2 miles north of FM 2920). This is the east side of the road just south of Shady Lane. Some might call it "HABA in a box". Dave Koenig also posted a lot of photos of the move in at Storage Day.

PLEASE NOTE: As is the custom at most workshops, sharing tools is common. Please remember to do a couple of things if you borrow a tool. One, remember from whom you borrowed a tool and make sure you return it by telling that person you are returning it. Two, make sure you look over your tools before you depart to make sure you have only what you came with...nothing missing and nothing extra. It takes more effort to return or find a tool than to double check before leaving the meeting!

- 9:00 am : Begin Demo
- 9:00 am : Begin Workshop
- 12 pm : Break for Lunch
- 1 pm : Continue Workshop
- - pm : Conclude before dark

What to Bring
Bring safety glasses with side shields. This is a requirement!
Bring your anvil, hammer, tongs, coal forges and vice. A number of forges will be available to share. Gas is ok. Bring your fuel.
Plan to bring a lunch or eat at a local restaurant.
Bring a chair to sit in, maybe a pop-up tent would be good..
HABA will have a limited supply of material available. Please bring your own if you have another project in mind.
You do not have to be a member to attend our meetings! Bring a Guest!
Bring your Membership Dues if you want to work at a forge and are not a current Member !
Minors are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
