HABA Show at The Houston Center of Contemporary Craft COME FEEL The HEAT
![]() The Houston Area Blacksmith's Association (HABA) has an opportunity to exhibit the hand made forge work of the group at the Houston Center of Contemporary Craft (HCCC) which is opening up the Artist Hall to the craft guilds of Houston for the first time starting in 2004. For those of you who are familiar with the layout of HCCC, the HABA work is displayed in the hallway between the administrative offices and the artists' in residence studios. The Houston Area Blacksmith's Association Inc, HABA, is showing the work of its members at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, HCCC, located at 4848 Main Street, Houston, TX. The HABA Exhibit opens February 11, 2004 and closes March 7, 2004. The Opening for the HABA Exhibit is Sunday, February 15, 2004, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. HABA members will be demonstrating in the HCCC parking lot March 6, 2004, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, weather permitting. The breadth of work on exhibit ranges from the basic to the advanced. Seventeen HABA members, twelve from the Houston area and five from around Texas and Louisiana, submitted a total of fifty eight individual pieces of work for consideration in HABA’s first public exhibition. Thirty four pieces were accepted for exhibit. Each member who submitted work has at least one piece in the show. Here is a list of HABA members and the titles of their accepted work.
